desirea + andrew | married

A few weeks ago, I second shot Desirea and Andrew's wedding for the very accomplished Lauren Friday. Despite the light rain, the energy of this crowd was contagious! Their fun personalities came out through every detail, down to their post-ceremony bride and groom funky ray bans. To kick off the reception, their bridal party surprised them with a well rehearsed rap that set the stage for non-stop dancing the entire evening. Here are some favorite shots I took of their big day:

Early May, I second shot a wedding with Lauren in Uptown Charlotte. The ceremony took place in a timeless cathedral and the reception was just across the block on the 5th floor of the Mint Museum. My favorite part was the "surprise song" at the end - while everyone waited downstairs with sparklers, Sarah and Duncan danced alone to the band's rendition of "Marry Me" in one final, sweet moment to lock in their first night as a married couple. melissa + brooks | married

Recently, I have been second shooting weddings with a very talented Charlotte photographer - Lauren Friday. We shot a gorgeous couple this April - Melissa and Brooks. They were incredibly charming (and she danced to "Sweet Melissa" - bonus!) The wedding took place at the Duke Mansion on a perfect spring day.
